Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. She gained the attention of the world in 2010 with her singles "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" British vocalist Ellie Goulding quickly rose to the top of the charts due to her enthralling electronic pop style. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the cutting edge as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of contemporary mainstream music, and independent, hip-hop that is arty. Her soprano and her ability to write emotionally authentic songs make her stand out.
