Niykee is a song writer that, in spite of her recent busy schedule, has managed to maintain a regular routine. Personal highlights been being selected by Snoop dogg to be his private assistant at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. Songwriting is a source of inspiration for aspiring producers. Niykee constantly listens to music and comes across beats that spark ideas. It's only after five minutes that I know whether a beat is worthy of my time. From there I am able to see the concept of a whole song within my head, and then I start writing. When I am playing my guitar outside on my porch I begin writing, and words flow. Most often, I'm done in 30 minutes. Niykee continues to develop her talents as a writer and lyrics writer. She notes how the pain she experienced during her childhood has served as an infinite source of unique ideas. My experience of pain as a child up and the loss of my sister are present in my songs, even though they're not literal. The music I write is inspired by my experiences and I am able to see the bigger picture beneath everything. This is one of the things that is most important for me.
