Moffat chose her for the role due to her being the most effective with Smith and was able to speak faster than the actor. She is more well-known for her work on television than in films. Of all the characters Eva has played on TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that stand out. Actually, her character of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children landed its the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to display her talent in music. Eva, in addition to being an actress is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva has had three marriages and also has a daughter with her second husband.
