Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 as the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta starting with her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. The Robertses' father was interested in theatre from an early time. When he was a student of Emory University, he performed in several productions in Atlanta. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he was commissioned into the airforce in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. They got married in 1955. Their baby son Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. In 1957 the couple left the Air Force and Walter began his studies at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. In 1960, the family relocated into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working for Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for children known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture they self-financed. The Actors and Writers Workshop was founded in 1964 and ran for six years. In 1965, they welcomed two new children: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
